The Logical Solution for Energy Efficient Building Materials
Isological.com is the comprehensive source for the latest industry trends, codes, and building materials information. A wealth of resources at your finger tips, a whole world to discover. This site was designed to give visitors an understanding of what is happening in the building materials industry, with a focus on the happenings and history of Polyiso insulation.

Polyiso is the logical choice for architects, specifiers and builders of commercial and residential buildings looking for insulation material with the highest R-values per inch in the industry. Polyiso has become increasingly important in the wake of the recent revisions to ASHRAE 90.1-2007.  Increased minimum R-value requirements in nearly every region in the country means the industry is recognizing the need to make drastic changes to start combatting climate change and promoting energy efficiency.

This site will be updated on a continual basis to give users the information that is important and pertinent to Polyiso insulation materials. We have also provided links to other industry leaders that are promoting the use of polyiso and other green products. There are many advocacy groups, government programs and companies with similar goals in driving green technologies, products and practices in the building materials industry. Our GreenZone News Section, a searchable, categorized database of news articles and industry releases on all things “Green,” will be growing on a weekly basis, so please check back often for new content.

Thermal Minimums Raised
R-15 is now R-20

For the first time in over 19 years, ASHRAE has increased the minimum required prescriptive R-value (resistance to heat flow) for roof and wall insulation levels in Standard 90.1 – the national model energy code for commercial buildings.
